At one of the many waterfalls on Old Fall River Rd We took Old Fall River Road in Rocky Mountain National Park up to the Alpine Visitor Center. This is a great dirt road winding one way up 9 miles with lots of switchbacks. Not for the faint of heart with no guardrails and some tight drops. Many years ago we had to go the wrong way (downhill) late at night when Trail Ridge Road was closed unexpectedly for road repairs. Going up is much nicer with time to look at the mountain scenery. We stopped along the way to see many small waterfalls and some wildlife including deer and pika. We topped the day off with a good round of miniature golf - a Kaiser favorite. Dean won, as always, and Mary Ann was a close second with 2 hole in ones and too many over par.
