When we reached Denver, we'd just about experienced visual overload with all that we'd seen in less than a week - from the dry high desert tundra, the amazing red rocks, the expanses, the blue skies, the yellow spring flowers, the green cacti and then the forests, the snow and more blue sky. So when we left Denver and hit the rolling hills of Nebraska and flat lands of Iowa, we became mesmerized by the amazing vastness of this country.
