Dearest friends and family,

I hope that I have included everyone that wants to be included in following me along my journey (if I forgot someone please forward on). This is the last time for 2.5 months that I will be writing you from my parents house, in Boulder, Colorado. Tomorrow morning I am off to the airpot where I fly Denver -> DC -> Johannesburg, South Africa (with a short refueling pit stop in Dakar, Senegal) -> Cape Town, South Africa where I will land Thursday evening. My bags are packed, probably too full, but at this point there's no turning back. Please keep me in your thoughts with love-- South Africa isn't the safest country in the world, even though I will be being extremely save, the more people thinking about me also helps keep me safe by forming a little protective love bubble around me 😊
