Today was AWESOME !!! We got up this morning and called Enterprise to come pick us up so we could get a car to use while we are here in California. It's so cool that they come and get you and take you to the car of your choice. We ended up with a 2008 Toyota Avalon and much to our surprise it is a really great car. We were so anxious to get on the road, we skipped breakfast all together and immediately headed out for Disneyland. I don't know who was more excited, me or the girls ! This would be my very first trip to Disney and I was so excited I could hardly stand it ! As we were driving down the interstate, getting closer and closer, I kept wondering what it was going to be like. I had heard so many stories from so many different people that I really didn't know what to expect. Okay, I know I'm 37 and I'm acting silly, but you have to remember, I've never seen Cinderella in person or had lunch with Mickey Mouse !! Well, we finally made it, we were at Disneyland in Anaheim, California !!! How
The Last "A" in California !!
The beginning of an amazing day ! awesome is that ?? We made a mad dash for the ticket booth but decided that we better grab a bite to eat first. After Breakfast/Lunch we headed into the park and it was more than I had ever imagined. At first it's like a little town with all these little stores and stuff and then you start getting to the rides. There's castles and princesses and all kinds of neat things. My very first ride at Disney was the Star Wars ride. R2-D2 and CP3O were really cool but little did I know what the rest of the day would bring. Next, we headed up to Space Mountain to check out the line and see how long the of a wait there was. The line wasn't that long so we stayed and rode it. I have to admit I was a little scared at first because you have to go inside and it's enclosed and all dark and stuff but, after it was over I wanted to do it again !! It was really cool riding a roller coaster through the dark with stars everywhere and stuff. Next, we were off to get wet at Splash Mountain ! We
The Streets of Disneyland !
Emmy and Kayla strolling throughout Disneyland ! waited in line about 30 minutes and then off we went around the mountain and then head first from the top all the way to the bottom, we made a huge Splash and then it was over. We were soaked, but it was still early in the day and we figured we would dry fairly quickly. We continued on through the park, with our little map, and went on to ride the new Pirates of the Caribbean and the Indiana Jones rides. They were both really awesome and it's so amazing at the detail Disney put into these rides. We wanted to rest for a little bit so we decided to take the boat trip through the Jungle and relax for a few minutes. We had been walking around all day and scuffling through this place like we were in a marathon or something. We just wanted to make sure that we got to ride everything possible while we were there and I didn't want to miss anything. Eventually we made our way to the new Toy Story ride which was so much fun. Tim was exhausted by this time so he opted out of this one but it ended
Disney at Night !
Kayla and Emily towards the end of the night. We were all really tired ! up being the most hands-on fun !! We rode through this long maze of Toy Story stuff, in individual rotating carts, with laser tag guns shooting at the targets that were randomly placed everywhere. Kayla won first place with over 140,000 points, then I got second place with 69,000 and Emily was third with 64,000 points. The girls and I really had a blast racing with each other and shooting things and stuff. There were so many other rides and things we got to do and the four of us just ran around like little kids all day, well three of us did (Tim didn't really act like a kid) ! I'm pretty sure Tim was ready to go about three hours into it but he was a real trooper and stuck with us all day and into the night. We had such a blast and I can now say that I have been to Disneyland !! After 10 hours of pure child-like enjoyment, we headed out of the park as the fireworks show was starting. We wanted to beat the crowd and get out of there before the big rush. We got to see the fireworks as we were
Help Me Stop This Thing !!
They tried and tried until they finally got it to stop ! walking and while we were on the tram. They were beautiful and it was a fitting end to a spectacular day !! Although the day was one I will never forget, I'm not sure if my feet and knees will forget it either !! As soon as we got back to the motor home, the girls headed off to soak their aching 15 year old bodies in the hot tub and I took two Advil and prayed for relief. Tim promised me many years ago that he would make "all my dreams come true" and today he fulfilled that promise once again ! Believe it or not, we are off to do more of the same tomorrow. We told the girls that we would take them to Knotts Berry Farm amusement park (equivalent to Six Flags) tomorrow so we're off again for an all day adventure. Take Care, Candy

Dreams do come true . . .
and fears can be conquered. See Disney can make you do anything! I am so impressed that you conquered Space Mountain. If you can ride that one, you can ride any of them! My Mom told me that you had never been to Disney and I couldn't beleive it. After all this time it sounds like you had the time of your life. I can only imagine the look on Tim's face when you all were acting like silly little girls. I hope you didn't embarass him! You should have reminded him that "Disney brings out the kid in all of us". Love ya, Lynn
