SF to Santa Barbara

Sept 12th

We hired bikes and rode over the \golden gate bridge to Sausalito, then onto Mill park -the bcak to Sausalito- I caught the ferry back to SF and Mike cycled back over bridge- really pretty place Sausalito., great views over bridge although foggy.

Sept 13th
Made journey to Santa Barbara- got up early and caught bus to Oakland where Amtrak station is- train about and hour and 10 late so we set off at 10.00am - really great scenery on latter half of journey, arrived at about 6.30 caught up most of time so only 15 mins late. Hotel was literally next to Amtrak- hooray. -just one block from beach and 2 blocks from main st with all the bars and restaurants.

Set 14 th -17th

Enjoying chilling out, going to beach and doing very little. Great for jogging(me) , running (Mike) along the beach. Weather has been perfect about 25 and a breeze.There are lots of pelicans here and we got very close to one today on pier- should have a good photo!
