Day 4 - San Francisco

It's now 08:30am and everyone is still very much asleep.....we intend taking it easy today, just wandering he city, particularly Union Square. Interesting to note that whilst large retailers were in abundance in New York they were spread far and wide where as in San Francisco they seem to more clustered together, so shopping should be much easier. Shopping is likely to just be looking because a) we have no space for anything more and b) funds are drying up seriously....but we will see, you just never know what might happen....and as Vesna commented Iin the past few days...."life is short - so enjoy" ...so we will continue to enjoy this most remarkable holiday!!

Forecast for today is continued overcast and temperature of 16 degrees.

Finally off to find breakfast, much more difficult in San Francisco. But first we need to drop off some washing at Vic's Laundry in Taylor a Street, $20.00 washed & folded, not bad.

So we finally had breakfast, just crepes, pancakes and eggs and $90.00 later so we won't be going back there, wasn't a big meal either but I guess we had coffee and smoothies too!

Then off to ice skating in Union Square, the girls had a good time although Celina was in a bit of pain. Sun was shining and the sky was cloud free, beautiful. Spent an hour + on the ice, great fun.

Then we ventured Williams & Sonoma (part of pottery barn) some really nice stuff! The Celina couldn't help herself but had to stop at Tiffany's again, then across the square to Macy's. Sophie & I took time out in Starbucks whilst Celina & Emma wandered the seven floors of retail.

Once we found each other, I ventured alone to collect the laundry and returned to the hotel.its now 16:30 and everyone is back, resting & watching TV and discussing how we might be able to avoid paying $US200 in excess baggage tomorrow.
