Well as expected everyone slept in just a bit given we didn't get to bed till after midnight and that was after 3:00 am NY time. Anyway up and about found some breakfast and the Tourist Info booth. Purchased a 3 dat transit pass for $100.00. Public transport is great in SF far Jess cabs than NY. Took the cable car up Powell Street past Lombardi street and down to Fishermans wharf. Walked a few kms along Fishermans wharf and had lunch at Boudins, I had a Clam Chowder in sourdough pot, yummy. Walked a bit further and booked a table at Rainforest Cafe, a place we tried to get into in Orlando. Then on to the Exporatorium Musem...some fascinating items on display, and the kids really enjoyed themselves.
Returned to the hotel by tram to get changed for dinner but big before stopping off at Abercrombe & Finch fir a jacket for Emma.
The transport system here is superb, so much to choose from !!
Changed and we are off back to Fishermans Wharf fir dinner at Rainforest Cafe..jungle theme, lots of artificial native animals and forest greens. Animals were animated and really came to life every 30 minutes when the storm struck.
Back to the hotel by tram again, collected some food from Wallgreens so we can conserve cash and into bed by 23:00, another Late night.
Must be up early tomorrow and I mean early. We need to have had breakfast and made our way to pier 33 at Fishermans wharf by 09:30 to catch the ferry to the pre-booked cruise and tour of Alcatraz..should be good.
Tomorrow is also a very special day for us all.........
Good night from the "Rudkin Travelling Forest 2087 Billies" from San Francisco
