Me and the Hummer Limo
What do you reckon shall I trade in the Porsche?!! Hey There All! OK.... first things first, yes I've been slacking with my updates, however you'll all be pleased to know that it's only because I've been having too much of a good time! he he he.... (priorities please :o)
There's been so much going on, but first before I introduce you to San Diego, let me tell you all about my jaunts in LA before I headed down south. So... towards the end of last week I booked myself on a Hummer Limo Champagne Tour with the hostel that I'm staying at.... well what fun! We all sat like superstars being schauffered around Beverly Hills sipping on unlimited supplies of Champers. We stopped off a couple of times to take a walk around some popular areas including The Grove Centre and Rodeo Drive. There were some really cool fountains at The Grove that were designed by the same person that did the ones for The Bellagio in Las Vegas, pictures attached. At Rodeo drive we had to stop to use the bathrooms so we all went to the parking lot toilets... NOW..... before you think I've got a toilet fetish, I'm pre-warning you that I also had to take
a picture of these toilets because once again they were so posh. Couldn't believe that toilets in a parking lot would be nicer than toilets found in people's homes!!!!
Anyway, moving on swiftly (before you all think I've really lost the plot)...Afterwards we went back to the Hostel and partied in the bar there until god knows what hour. Lets just say I don't remember much after that :o) I met some really nice people though on the tour, Angie from New York, and Nicola and Laura from Middlesborough. It was lovely to meet some cool british people that knew how to enjoy themselves. Met some other cool people, Morgan and Ben were great fun too.
The next night we all ended up going out again on a pub crawl around Hollywood. Had a blast on that too and met Sinisa and his friend George. It was another fun night.
So now to San Diego.....
I went with my friend Sinisa and we spent 3 days there in total. Must say it was a really nice area where the hostel was in Gaslamp Quarter. There's so many lovely restuarants to eat and drink in... not to mention a few clubs
Me and my friend Angie
Living it up in style! to choose from.
The day we arrived we walked down to the Harbour, ....and walked,.... and walked, ....and walked... (notice a pattern?!). It was a really nice place to take a stroll around, and it was lovely and sunny on that day. On the night we went out for drinks in a place that had an excellent jazz band playing, they were really cool to watch. The following day we went to the world renowned San Diego Zoo.... wow, it was beautiful. They've got such a variation of animals it was unreal. The one animal I was shocked to see was the Polar Bear!! Yes.... A polar bear in San Diego. I couldn't work that one out either! :o)
The best moment of the day for me was seeing the massive Hippo swim underwater... I have an excellent picture of him attached, what a cool dude. He was just going up and down putting on a show for everyone watching him. I got a really good picture of his face as he was swimming by me.
There was soooo many other cool animals to see... have a look at my pictures. That night we went clubbing and I couldn't believe
how many people were out for a Wednesday night... it was really busy.
The next day we went to La Jolla shores/caves. We had fully intended to go sea Kayaking into the caves however we were told on arrival that it was dangerous to go in them and there was 'nothing to see there!'. So instead we sat on the beach and enjoyed the sun (when it decided to make an appearance (little bugger). We went out for a nice meal there and then come back to the Hostel, got changed, and yes.... you guessed it.... went clubbing again! (Needless to say that I'm totally wrecked now so gonna recouperate now I'm back in LA).
SO.... you're probably wandering what I'm doing back in LA? Well, you're all really gonna hate me when I tell you this...but... next Wednesday I'm flying from LA to Hawaii for 2 weeks!!! Yes I know it wasn't originally on my Itinerary however, I thought it rude not to take the opportunity to check out Waikiki Beach considering I'm already three quarters of the way there anyway. It only takes 5.5 hrs to fly from here and Sam (the girl I done Universal Studios etc
with when I first got here), left here last week to go there and she went and put ideas in my head! I've booked a Hostel that is half a block from Waikiki Beach. They do all sorts of trips around Ouahu Island, including going to where they film LOST. Then there's the North Shores with all the massive surfer waves and they do all sorts of trips there too which is cool. Boat trips, beach barbeques, you name it, I'm doing it!...... Can't wait to get there now as I know it will fantastic.
Anyway, got to go as I'm nearly falling asleep on the keyboard after my San Diego jaunts so... stay tuned folks and keep sending your messages as it's great to hear from you all.
Love and Big Hugs.... xxxxx
