We took a southern route out of Arizona. First stop was Pio Pico Thousand Trails campground, close to the Mexican border. While there Princess had another emergency visit to the Vet on a Sunday. Three days and $900 later she had a ruptured tumor removed..benign! The border patrol drove their SUV''s through the campground hundreds of times while we were there. One night a helicopter flew over with search lights ablaze! We thought we were on a TV reality show. The "wall" hasn't been finished in this area because they ran out of money. Guess helicopters and SUV's are cheap.
Next we moved 100 miles North near a little town of Temecula. (Wilderness Lakes Thousand Trails.) We enjoyed the healthy Farmers market and local wineries. This is the only area we've been in where homeless people are outside the grocery store begging for food and at the gas stations begging for money to buy gas. So we shared our groceries but not our gas!
This week we arrived at Palm Springs Thousand Trails in Palm Desert, Calif. We'll be in this area until April. The weather can't be beat and the Pickleball courts are plentiful. Tom still isn't playing
pickleball but I still love it. Even though I fell and hit my head. Fortunately (I say this a week later) nothing spilled out of my head. Take that whatever way you want. God bless all our friends and family who read this. And may the weather start to improve for ya'll!
