Ya'll haven't heard from us because we've just been hangin' out for the winter. We are still in Palm Desert, Calif. The weather has been the best in the U.S. this winter. We said goodbye to friends Bruce and Sandy as they headed to their place in Branson; Bob and Janet headed to Florida and we had a brief visit with RV Dude, Bruce, and Diva, Kathy before they headed for a cruise to Alaska. Met up with friends Sheryl and Alan for a quick Happy Hour. Also, had a "girls day out" which included a doggy fashion show in Palm Springs!

There is so much to do in this area. We went to a wind farm.....nearly 4,000 wind turbines. We learned about "clean energy." The bat and the moth and migratory birds have to be protected when building these turbines. Most wind farms in this area are owned by France, BP and Italy. DRILL HERE, DRILL NOW! We went on a tour of the old-time Hollywood Stars homes with RV Dude and Diva, toured another Indian Reservation, lost money at the casinos. We spent an afternoon visiting the General Patton Museum where they trained for the Theatre in Africa

WWII. It was considered a harsher environment than what was expected in North Africa.

We were just chilling out.....until Tom decided we needed a new Motorcoach! Most women would droul over this opportunity. Me....I don't do well with this kind of change. (We are still married, though, as friend Anne-Marie adivsed me "Just let it Go Karen.") So pics of the new rig will be on the next blog. We will be headed to Arizona in a couple of weeks where Tom should have a great visit with his cardiologist. He has been exercising every day and trying hard to stay heart-healthy. With every new friend we make, we still miss our old friends and family.

Thank You
Sure enjoyed hearing about your Palm Desert stay. Glad to know that you're both healthy enough to do all that touring and also get together w/friends. Liked the energy info--we always see those turbines when we drive through CA. Maybe we'll see you the next time you head back down to TX. All our TT parks, including Colorado River (where Marty/Asst. Mgr here, is now) & Tawakoni, are open year around. We'll be heading toward the NW for the summer, in about a month or so. Looking forward to it, since that's an area we haven't visited.

Stinky Weather
It looked like the whole country had stinky weather the past winter...except Palm Springs. We lucked out! Enjoy your garden this summer.

Traveling the Northwest
Hey Judy! We'll be in the Northwest too. We'll watch for you on the pickleball courts!
