Monday 1 June this is from Mariposa, about 40 miles from Yosemite. I drove here in rental car picked up in Sacramento early this afternoon. This will likely cost me c.$280 for 4 days (gas extra of course). Prices seem cheap - $31 a day or so - but add realsitic insurance - full CDW and public liability costs an extra $20 a day - and you would be mad not to do it here cos it would otherwise be very expensive! Fortunately almost all city streets in Sacramento are one way so that made it easier not to have a bingle getting to the freeway! - effectively #99 south-east heading back to LA.
