After we switched the car this morning, Robyn went window shopping while I read up on the car controls. The young ones were out late last night but were up and ready for brunch when we got back to the house at 11am. We had a fine meal at Abigail's at Hermosa Beach and we met Morgan and Maggie, more friends. Then Erin and Pete took Lizzie to the airport while Rob and I hired a couple of "cruiser" push bikes (Rob had gears, none for me) ready for our planned epic ride to Venice Beach along the bike path.

It was 20km each way and although there were no hills, the distance and the frequent headwind did cause our muscles to protest. We finished back at Hermosa Beach at 6pm and returned the bikes and went to La Playita Mexican cantina for margaritas and great Mexican food. A quiet evening at home - watched "Pretty Woman" for the umpteenth time.

The enterprising owners converted the roof of the hotel to an open bar that is a very popular "in" place in LA. Note Rob's new Maui Jim sunnies, it was just too good a buy to pass on!

Sel,I trust you did your thing at Muscle Beach.I trust also you met the medical marijuana specialists at Venice Beach, and were able to find your medical remedy/fix accordingly.Mexican is a wonderful cuisine - one of my favourites. Pity we
don't have it in Australia.Cheers,Lowie
