The end of the semester - March-April 2012

After Spring Break, it was basically crunch time until the end of the semester. There were lots of long hours spent hammering out essays and preparing group presentations, but there was still time for some fun.

Most notably, I went to the 2012 United States Universities National Debating Championships April 13-15 in Salem, Oregon. My partner had never been to a debate tournament before but we finished an impressive 39th out of over 150 teams - missing the Octofinals by just 7 spots. My team had a great time and it was a great end to our very first semester as a club!

This blog was created in 2007 when I headed to Perth, Western Australia for a year-long study abroad program. There are still lots of great stories and pictures from that trip, though I got way behind on my blogging and the stories end abruptly in September, 2007 (I was in Aus until Christmas Eve!) Eileen and Sulagna at the Skirball Center

The Skirball Center is a Jewish museum but it's home to many exhibits. We took a trip to see "Women Hold up Half the Sky", which was a very powerful exhibit based on a book about the struggles of women worldwide.
