Short stop in Santa Monica

Albeit only one day in LA on our way through - the sights, sounds and experiences already have us excited to go back to the land of the crazy where homeless men cross dress, the seagulls on Santa Monica Pier are so big they must be on steroids (I swear to you if one shit on you, it's possible you could drown.

The land where you cannot take your dog on the bus, but if you say the chihuahua in your backpack is a service dog who is going to argue.

Santa Monica is a beautiful town but the amount of homelessness is mind boggling, unlike Sydney not a lot are begging but they are openly everywhere and I'm not talking a few we are talking whole communities hanging along the beach front. They tell us it is nothing compared to downtown LA and I guess we will see for ourselves when we get there.

But it was a beautiful place to stay and the hour sleep on the beach felt like heaven after our flight.
