We were spending the next few days with Jase´s friend and colleague Jens, over in Corona. We arrived later that evening at their beautiful house and sat in the garden, drinking a couple of Coronas strangely enough, around their gas fire pit, overlooking the pool. Scary to think Jens does the same job as Jase in the States - can you imagine trying to buy such a palace in the UK on our wages?? We wish! Mind you, Rikke has her own interior design business too. We met Sheila the cute boxer dog but the boys had already hit the sack after exhausting themselves at the neighbour´s Halloween Party.

The next day we met the boys, Marcus and baby Lucas, who were both incredibly sweet. Jase was happy with the Danish style breakfast and insisted on his filthy habit of Nutella and cheese rolls. Jens had taken the day off work, and we were on a mission to shoot some big guns! Tenacity paid off in the end - we tried three shooting ranges before we could find one open with guns for hire. It was well worth the effort of Jens driving all around LA, because we had so much fun!

First, we hired a Magnum revolver and squeezed ourselves through the soundproof double doors into the range. We hooked up a target and sent it down the range, and then loaded the bullets. Wow! With Jase and Rach initially pooping themselves with excitment and nerves on the first shot, anticipating the kick back, we couldn´t stop laughing at how powerful the gun felt. We all did pretty well for novices, Rach was definitely a better shot compared to the clay pigeon misses! Next we tried a .45mm and were surprised by the size of the bullets - they were huge! This was Rach´s favourite and we had lots of fun with it. The third choice was a 9mm rifle which was great at rapid fire. Finally we opted for a Glock, which was Jens and Jase´s favourite. They thought it was hilarious when Rach was deceived by the lightweight feel of the gun, nonchantly firing it, and getting a huge surprise with the kickback! It was a pain in the arse to load the magazine, squeezing that last bullet in hurt Jase´s little fingers - ahhh! In the evening, Rikke served a scrumptious supper of fajitas and
The beast!The beast!The beast!
