Sunset on sunset

We moved to a hotel (wa-hey! towels and hairdryer and coffee and a fridge and TV and Air Con and everything!) on Sunset Boulevard in the fashionable area of West Hollywood (aka WeHo) for the long weekend of Tim's 30th birthday:

- breakfast in bed (and strawberries and a poem and a card and a balloon from Emma)

- a couple of bottles of California Champagne (we say, "better than the French stuff!")

- lobster & steak and dinner at the famous and incredibly cool 'Rainbow Bar & Grill' (where they lived up to their reputation and played Poison and Guns'n'Roses all night) and Tim lived out his rock and roll fantasies!

- embarassment at the the famous and incredibly cool 'Rainbow Bar & Grill' as the waitresses brought a large piece of chocolate cake with a candle in it and sang 'Happy Birthday' and Tim's rock and roll fantasies crumbled into dust!

- chillin' out on sunset strip and seeing Emma's eyes nearly pop out of her head at the merchandise on display in the famous Hustler store

- shopping (highlight being the pet shop that sold every puppy you could possibly imagine plus all the required clothing and accessories for said child...er, I mean pet) and dinner at the Hard Rock Cafe at the Beverly Centre in Beverly Hills

- mooching around Hollywood where we saw Richard Branson in Virgin and where INXS were appearing that night (we made sure we weren't around!).

- seeing a cool sunset on Sunset boulevard from our hotel balcony
