Disney at night - outside the famous castle. Yes Greta is pulling face
So despite the dramas of last night we all still managed to get to Disneyland park at about 10 to 9.00am. Not a bad effort given Lola and Lisa did not return from hospital until about 2.00am. The morning was again typified by Greta taking an eternity to get ready and thinking of every excuse in the book as to why she can't eat her breakfast. I pity any one who wants to go on the Amazing Race with that girl

Once again we headed straight to the Cars ride for an encore. We didn't know the gates opened an hour earlier on Fridays and as such just beat the general admission hordes which were surging towards the ride. It worked perfectly cos we were in and out in 15 minutes. The girls then went on the other Cars ride which Lola and Greta in particular liked and then we headed once more to Grizsly Falls which was a white water rapids type of ride. Crowds were thin here and we actually went on the thing three times. The last time our raft was hit by the geyser and we were completely drenched. We all sat outside of the ride

at the end and squeezed out our clothes including our socks which I reckon between us had nearly half a cup of water in them. Bear Grylls would have then drunk it but I did consider selling it to an American beer company to improve the taste?

A few more rides were enjoyed once more and at about 2.00pm we went back o he hotel for a rest around the pools wih the intention to see Disneyland at night. We headed back at around 6.30 and the crowds were getting pretty solid. I think cos it was a Friday, everyone comes for the weekend (hey - they obviously don't have a Myalup to go to). So we stayed until about 10 pm - saw the fireworks and the Disney World of Colour which was very clever - synching of water fountains, lights and playing animation from predominantly the Pixar movies into the spray the fountains create.

So lastly a couple of words about Disneyland. Firstly the place is immaculate. Not a piece of trash (American speak for litter) to be seen, nor chewing gum on the sidewalk. Secondly i don't know if it was Disneyland or not, but

Lisa and Greta doing the same prep work
there was a high percentage of adults with partners wearing matching Disney character t shirts.?? I even saw one family with m&m t shirts (yes the confectionary). Dad was the yellow one, Mum the green one, son number one was the blue one and son number two the red one....very weird. I love my family very much but can't see either Lisa or I ever heading down that dodgy path. Finally again whether it was the Disneyland effect or not but they all seemed very polite. We played the game where one of us would join the queue whilst the other took the girls to another ride. When they came back they would effectively jump the queue and squeeze past them to join either Lisa or I. All very accommodating and I question whether at would happen at the Perth Royal Show!!

So that is Disneyland. A great experience and staying at the Resort was a great idea. I am hoping it has cured the girls desire to want to go to the aforementioned Royal Show ever again!
