DAY 11 - FRI - 25 SEPT Lena, Karl’s wife, had asked on Wednesday if I wanted to go on a wine tasting tour. Are You Kidding??? So we had planned to go this morning. They have a lovely home and insisted that we "sleep in". After dining us at local favorite restaurants, we knew we had to get across the Sierra; Donner Pass had been closed, but opened up and we purchased chains ... read more
