Wow what an adventure. Evan and I left Boulder on Wednesday morning, with plans to meet up with the crew the following morning to go into camping together. What a long drive. Slept the night in Lake Havasu City, woke up Thursday SO excited. We met Deb, Michael and Tay at a grocery store, did some necessary shopping and snacking before we headed off to COACHELLA camping which opened at noon. When we got there, we got set up in a HUGE field full of cars and crazy people ready to get their camping and partying ON. After waiting around for 3 hours in the sun, it was finally our turn. Driving across the California desert - cruise control country

17th & 18th April 2010 Pimp my golf buggy..... Onwards from Needles took us to Indio, Palm Springs and the Motorcoach Country Club . The stretches of road were long and straight and cruise control and coffee were all that it took to keep 'drives' happy. Before we'd even got through the automatic security gates of the MCC, staffed by a guard, we'd had an invite to a Cocktail Party! It was certainly a classy place, a party playground for Motorcoach owners - a golf course, a mile of waterways, a yacht club and a clubhouse. Chico Elk's Campground

10/23/2009: Wandered down Highway 99 to Chico. Took us about an hour to make the 45 mile drive. Tough travel day! Got all settled at the Elk's Campground then just relaxed for the next two days. We really like it here. The largest county park in the USA is just across the street - lots of walking paths, lots of birds to watch, and an 18 hole public golf course. Two years ago we spent 10 days here but this year we had to keep moving. 10/25/2009: Drove south on Highway 99 to Chowchilla where we checked into The Lakes RV Resort and met up with our friends Bob and Maxine.
