Floatie Baby
Vivian wore these everywhere she went around the hotel, always ready to jump in the pool The morning started great as everyone woke up in a great mood as Vivian jumped into bed with Nathan and then Rosie to be their alarms. Vivian has to climb from Nathan's pullout sofa bed in order to get to Rosie's queen bed and this required her to jump up and across and often led to her landing on her face in a pile of pillows much to everyone's delight and laughter. We all had Lucky Charms, milk, and yogurt to start the day before heading out to the pool area to begin our last morning of swimming and sliding. Nathan went down the 30 foot high water slides with Steve and Tory about 20 times and learned it would go fast on his back without his swim shirt on. Rosie and Vivian floated together in the shallow water too and played with divers and a water gun. Vivian got tired of the pool after a while and was happy to sit in Steve's lap to play with lids and bowls and chow down on watermelon and grapes. Rosie the fish stayed in the water and preferred to eat her snacks at the side of the pool while sitting on the

Mommy and Nathan are Sliding down the Water Slide together steps. Also, the hot tub was a fun place to take a quick dip in and Steve with Rosie and Tory with Nathan each took turns to heat up since the weather was only around 75 degrees (cold for the desert.) We went back to the room to get cleaned up, have lunch before leaving, and loaded the van up with Nathan being a big helper.
We got caught in some Thanksgiving weekend traffic on the way back, so made a pit stop at Hadley's in Cabazon to get Steve's favorite Date Shake and a banana data shake for Tory. Thankfully our 4 month old Van has a DVD player so the kids would be entertained in the slow traffic, then as we got moving the girls could be lulled to sleep as usual by the fast moving humming on the freeway. We next stopped at Uncle George and Auntie Heather's house in La Canada to play with cousins and have a pizza dinner that Nathan requested. Nathan took off with Connor and we barely saw them for an hour as they dug with a hoe in the dirt and played in Connor's room with garbage trucks and landfill
toys. Brooke was very sweet to Rosie as they sat in her bed playing games with Brooke's shopkins. Rosie can be touchy when she just wakes up but just seeing Brooke gave her energy and put her in a great mood to have girl time, and Brooke was very sweet to let Rosie borrow 3 shopkins to take home. Even Vivian got to join in the games for a little while. We all had some pizza, the kids did some trampoline, then got ready to leave for home. We also got to hear about George and Brooke's distance learning experiences and found out George is running a 55 minute 6 mile for his Freshman cross country team - Impressive!
The final drive home went smooth and we came home to a power outage. Nathan had fun lighting candles and turning on all the flashlights while the girls stayed warm in the can watching "Toy Story 4" until the power came back on. Our very nice neighbors, the Zhus, left a big bowl of delicious chili and pumpkin muffins on our doorsteps so the kids ended up filling up their bellies, much needed after a busy full weekend of fun

Mommy and Nathan were standing on top waving and they went down it many times. and swimming! This was our first really big vacation with all 3 kids and nobody else to help babysit or friends to play with so we had to see how it went. We learned that they could entertain each other pretty good and it will only get better as they grow older and have many more fun experiences like this together!
