4/7/2012 - Mono Lake, Ca to Virginia City, NV

Left Mono Lake at 9am. Had to put hydraulic fluid in the jacks as the alarm kept going off. Had a high altitude leak at Mono Lake. Today we left California and entered Nevada. The road to the Virginia City RV Park was death defying, no guard rails and very very curvy with very steep dropoffs. Going through downtown just after an Easter Parade gave us a unique look at the width of the streets which had cars parked on both sides and people crossing the street anywhere they chose. :-)

Made it to the park early enough to take a trip to Lake Tahoe. This lake is really a lot larger than I had anticipated, looks like a small inland sea. It is the largest Alpine lake in the United States. Saw a guy out wind surfing on a snowboard.

Had a meal of chili dogs provided by Jack.
