Having enjoyed the splendid offerings of Californias National Parks, including meeting General Sherman (A very big tree) and withstanding the travel sickness which came from Ron's driving along the coastal roads we survived the 42 degree heat of death valley, and Nester did not break down!
However...our luck did not hold out in Vegas. We managed to lose our alotted gambling fund within 3 minutes. We stayed in the Rio which was great, beat the shabby old Motels we have grown so acustomed to. Really enjoyed the all you can eat buffets, Ron managed six plates of ribs (the waistlines are sufferring).
Our next destination is the Grand Canyon and surounding area over the next few days, although looking at the forecast it's going to be very, very wet! We already got hailed on while driving on the highway with only one working wiper.
as for Ron's beard he has started pulling it out whisker by whisker...patches galore!
