Day 25 - Sitting in a saloon 48 State Taver, Page Arizona, after a long hot day on the road. Jac & Snapper found this gem on our 2016 trip. A couple of Porter Ales down, after Nifty wore me down on trying one (damn nice by the way), a plate of Wings with BBQ Bourbon sauce, Ranch on the side, now a Makers Mark on the rocks, our brilliant bartender, Chris - 'Have you got any Aussie music mate', Yep tell me what you like, Have you got 'Men at Work?' Yep, here ya go!' So here we are - sitting in a bar in Page, Arizona, listening to Men at Work, while eating Wings & drinking bourbon! Fantastic, I say! After leaving Kanab, a short detour to the north rim of the Grand Canyon, always fascinating, then onto Vermillion Cliffs, Marble Canyon & Horseshoe Bend. A veritable feast for the eyes. Now some of you may be wondering, geez this mob love their scenery, parks, canyons, gorges & stuff - well you'd be correct - America has amazing landscapes and national parks. And as some of you know, I just love walking for kilometres to see this grand land! Back to 48 State Tavern for dinner, another great meal, then front up to the bar again for a couple of quick nightcaps!

Day 26 - We've picked up an hour crossing back from Mountain Zone, so we're on the road early again, back to Cameron Trading Post for a milkshake and a look around, then take a right onto Desert View Drive, then East Rim Drive for a look at the South Rim of The Grand Canyon. We visited the Watchtower at the further most eastern point of the Grand Canyon. A couple more photo stops then we headed for Flagstaff for lunch. From here it was a great run down the mountain on AZ89A for Sedona, our overnight stop. Being a Sunday afternoon, as we approached Slide Rock, it was mayhem, thousands of people all going for a swim in Oak Creek. I guess you can understand as it was 106*F. Arrived at our motel early and hit the pool to cool off. Another Great Day on the Road.

Day 27 - A short day on the road today, leaving Sedona to Camp Verde and up to Winslow, yes folks, Winslow, 'Standin' on the Corner', to see the new Glen Frey statue since his passing. Photo's at the corner and a Dr Pepper Float, then back on the road to Prescott for 3 nights. We hit 111*F at Camp Verde on the return journey. Into Prescott at our favourite hotel, Hotel St Michael on Montezuma Street, Whiskey Row. A drink at Whiskey Row Pub, then onto The Birdcage Saloon for a refreshing margarita made by the owner who made Snapper a homemade Bloody Mary on our 2016 trip.
