Just a quick "Shari" update for you all. After nearly 20 hours of continuous travel she arrived at her starting point in central Virginia. Tonight (thursday) she is spending her first (of many) nights somewhere along the trail. I expect an update from her when she arrives at the first town along the way...about 70 miles. I'll share that with you as soon as I hear from her. In the meantime feel free to write any messages for her here on the blog. She'll be thrilled to hear from every one of you. Thanks for your support, Mike

Fourth full day
Hi Shari: Needless to say you are in my thoughts every day, seems like all day. : }, Have you been able to stay at least half way dry? I hope the trail was not made more difficult by Ernesto. It is a trip you have earned and I wish for you a safe and joyous journey. Talked to Bill and we are all excited he has reached a long held goal. When we go to CT we will see Jonathan play on Sat. and Sun. YAY. Not sure if Jess will be home. All are wishing you lots of energy, stamina and the joy of having reached another milestone. Love You, Mom
