Here we are in Mesa getting our motorhome.
Destination: Phoenix, Arizona, February 2007

What a great trip we had touring California. After a few days home in Franktown, we were off again only this time to the beautiful state of Arizona. 1st stop, to pick up our 40 foot motorhome in Mesa Arizona. This motor home will be our transportation and home for the next 9 days and 8 nights.

Our flight to Phoenix went incredibly smooth. Daddy did get caught at the airport (claiming Lilly was under 2)and had to buy Lilly her first airline ticket, Daddy was not happy about that. After travelling to California with a little too much luggage, mommy decided to pack a little differently to lighten our load a bit. When we arrived in Pheonix a long WHITE limo was there to pick us up and this time we all fit! Lilly was funny in the limo, we were all laughing at her. The limo took us to a big long motorhome.

The man that was renting out the Holiday Rambler by Ambassador to us was named Doug. He showed us everything we needed to know like how to open and close the jacks and some other stuff that's a

little too complicated. Daddy will be driving us all over since he is good at driving his truck with a long trailer on the back. The motorhome is really neat! It has a master bedroom with 2 swivel chairs and a desk area that will be perfect for me and Tanner to do our school work. There is a nice bathroom area with a sink, shower and potty. There is a small kitchen area with a table, big refrigerator, 2 couches and a nice big TV for us to watch a movie. One of the couches makes into a bed and the kitchen table turns into a small bed too, so we will all have a place to sleep. It is just a compact little house. We will be nice and comfy.

Off to Walmart we went to get our shopping done! We got tons of food that will last us forever. Then we headed for a campground in Casa Grande, about 1 hour away. When we arrived they were having potluck dinner, a nice man invited us and we joined them for some yummy food. The campground is for senior citizens only so we kind of stood out

like zoo animals. Then we snuck into the pool and hot tub for a couple of hours. It was fun walking around the RV park, in order to live there you have to be 55 or older. Some people live there in a "park model" or motorhome and other people only stay for a short while. The people who live there or stay for 3 or 4 months out of the year, put up real neat yard art like frogs, flowers, different statues. My grandma and grandpa Bufmack would love it there. They have horseshoes, shuffle board, bingo night, craft days, a rec room with pool tables, it was a neat community.

After our stay, we broke down camp which consisted of bringing in the 4 slide outs by pressing a button, dumping the pooper, and putting everything away so it doesn't fly everywhere when dad is driving. We will head to Tombstone today to see what it was like to live in the old west and view the scene of a very famous gunfight. We can't wait. While we are driving, mom has given us our homework assignments for the day, so that will help us to pass

the time. See you in Tombstone.....
