We arrive in Cottonwood and find a wonderful campground not far from town and decide on going out for dinner. We go to town and find a nice Italian Restaurant, Stromboli's where we have a wonderful dinner with some awesome Artichoke dip and a Pasta dish loaded with shrimp, a favorite of mine. The next day we decide on a visit to the Sedona area where we take in the wonderful sights of the red rock mountains, a Chapel that was built right into the red rock and enjoyed some shopping and our favorite, an Ice Cream before heading to our friends house, Debbie and Dennis for a fun night out. We head out for dinner after a nice visit and then to a night of BINGO. We had a great time and a nice visit getting re-acquainted with them. Kathy won a game of bingo and so did I, it was fun. The second day we go four wheeling, which was awesome and right across the highway from camp. In Arizona we can also ride our Razor down the roads so it will be fun. We headed right up the mountain after visiting with the Forest Ranger who was nice
Red Rock Formations
Just an Awesome View! enough to give us a map and a quick reference before heading up the mountain. He was right on when he said some of the trails was the real deal for four wheeling, we took trails Kathy won't go on again, but we ended up sitting on the crest of the mountain, it was fantastic. On the way down the mountain although now we laugh about it, the trail was crazy enough we actually rolled the Razor onto its side and we ended up climbing out of the roof of the machine. Kathy was done driving for the day, LOL. We finished off the day with a visit to the pool area, soaked up a little sun and enjoyed the hot tub before heading back to camp. We started out the third day by sleeping in as we were exhausted from the days before, we soaked up some sun before heading back to Debbie and Dennis's for another wonderful night out. We went to a dinner and a country western show which was very nice. The next day we took off on the Harley and rode up to Jerome which is a old mining town full of old hotels, and
old stores turned tourist shops, old Brothels which we had to visit. We went to the Haunted Hamburger restaurant and split a burger before heading out of town. We then road back over to Sedona and found a couple great roads to ride on which took us right through the red rock mountainous terrain, it was great. We finished off the evening with a ride over to Camp Verde, a small town not far from camp where we enjoyed a corn roast picnic where there was a little music, and probably the best corn on the cob I have ever had, it was so tender and sweet it just fell off the cob. Our final day we needed a few things from the store so we went and dealt with that and then once again headed to Debbie and Dennis's for a afternoon of cards, cocktails and an awesome home cooked Italian dinner, from appetizers to the desert everything was supper just what the doctor ordered for me. I miss the home cooked real meal if you know what I Mean. It was a great visit with Debbie and Dennis, I never felt more at home and welcomed anywhere I
ever went.
