Long drive today through new territory. Back up to Anchorage, thru Palmer and down the Glennallen Hwy. Gorgeous drive. All kinds of terrain. Past Glaciers. Got to the Red Eagle Lodge about 6:30. Eight now and ready to hit the sack. Not use to 8 hours plus of driving. Have 5 hrs tomorrow and 8 again Saturday.. A few pics of our dry cabin we are in tonight.

Just entered South Dakota! First day of travel went pretty smooth. Minor change of plans this am. . . Had planned on taking my vehicle but at the last minute decided to take Mike's truck! A little bit of extra work - but I think it was the right decision. More room, better tires, 4 wheel drive for the snow that is predicted, etc.... full info
