Another day on the road and another incredible drive. Now are in the Wrangler St Elias Mtn Range. Went thru To, customs - spending the night in Beaver Creek YK at Motel 1202. Saw 2 huge black bears south of Tok. Going to check out the only restaurant in town - Buckshot Betty's!
The lodge we were at last night provided breakfast. Spent over an hour visiting with them over coffee. Very cordial and interesting.

Just entered South Dakota! First day of travel went pretty smooth. Minor change of plans this am. . . Had planned on taking my vehicle but at the last minute decided to take Mike's truck! A little bit of extra work - but I think it was the right decision. More room, better tires, 4 wheel drive for the snow that is predicted, etc.... full info
