Sure was hard to leave Sitka. Met so many interesting people. Very nice ferry ride. Arrived at Juneau at 7 pm. Very nice apartment. Quiet and new. Need to get up at 5 to catch the ferry to Haines. Our last Alaskan stop.?

Just entered South Dakota! First day of travel went pretty smooth. Minor change of plans this am. . . Had planned on taking my vehicle but at the last minute decided to take Mike's truck! A little bit of extra work - but I think it was the right decision. More room, better tires, 4 wheel drive for the snow that is predicted, etc.... full info
