Alaska -Sept 1-7, part 2 We were on the Holland America’s ship Westerdam from August 31 through Sept 7, 2008. The last day we received the ship’s log. We went a total of 2016 NM (nautical miles). Here is a huge and bautiful glacier.

This glacier is incredibly beautiful. Here's a large piece of ice that came off.

We kept following this bear.

I overheard this blue described as Windex blue--we all know that color.

Dark lines in ice of glacier
Probably volcanic ash ... over a long period of time glaciers forms and then move ... the ash falls on it and then is covered up by more snow that becomes ice

Good to see how much you enjoyed Alaska!
