As you're standing at the ledge getting ready to jump, your heart is pounding, looking down at the ground knowing that you are 50 ft in the air, palms are sweaty and the platform is shaking because its windy. As you count to three you are still hesitant to jump even though you are secured in a harness. Finally after much convincing you close your eyes and jump!!!
The first time you are stepping out of your comfort zone is when life starts. Imagine doing the same routine over and over and never getting the excitement of something new. We were meant to go out into the world and preach the gospel and making disciples of all nations. But how can we do that is we are standing still?? Our feet are beautiful if only they'd move! When you are being called, who knows what kind of difference you will make in a persons life or even in your own life. Once you figure out that God is behind you 100 percent you will feel like you can take on the world. That is why these children have inspired me so much. Imagine being 5-14 years old and leaving all
that you know behind. Climbing on an airplane for the first time, knowing that you are going thousands of miles away, away from everything you have ever known, to praise God and bring people to Christ through song and dance. Imagine being away from family, familiar food, and your home. Many have been called but few are chosen and these children know that God has chosen them to be ambassadors to represent children all over East Africa. Their faith in God is just so magnetic and they truly exemplify that child-like faith that God asks each and every one of us to have.
As these children stand by that ledge, 50 ft up knowing that they are going to be flying through the air, there is no hesitation, no counting down, just excitement knowing that they are going to be ok! They jump with eyes wide open ready for the adventure ahead. As for us adults it's so funny how when we finally take that leap and the ride is over. We realize that all that nervousness and fearfulness was just preventing us from having an amazing experience. So we climb right back to the top and do it
again with no hesitation, with no fear.
As we just finished up our 7th month of tour we have visited 10 states. We have just arrived in Mobile Alabama from New Orleans, Louisiana.
We have a little less than 3 months to go and 3 more states to visit. We have gotten around 850 Children Sponsored!!!! God has been so good to us and continues to bless us everyday. We are still looking for churches to share our ministry with so please take a look at our schedule on our website and see if you may be able to help us out! Thank you all for your continued prayers for our team!
