Teleton

An individual who I think did a good job of putting his ideas in helping out the country he was in and lead to other countries doing it as well was Fernando Landeros. He is the one who took the initiative and started the Teleton in 1997 in Mexico. The Teleton first stared in 1978 in Chile, then this lead Fernando to make a Teleton in Mexico. Teleton is a broadcast that is 24 hours to raise money for the disabled children. The Teleton is done every year in December. They are doing this to help out the children in Mexico who are disabled and don’t have the money to pay for all of the expenses in the doctors. I believe that this organization is making a difference each year because they help these children who have serious illnesses and they don’t have the money to pay for this, so Teleton being held every year can help those pay for the expenses on the hospitals and all.
