Day of the Dead - dia de los Muertos

• In the article, it tells more than 500 years the natives practice ritual that seem to mock death. The Aztecs and other other Meso-American kept skulls as trophies during ritual to symbolize death and rebirth, way back in the day. However, today it is celebrated differently, people visit the cemetery where love one are buried and spent a whole day with their loves. They bring toys for the dead children or bottles of tequila to adults.
• My reaction to this NOT surprising because I have done these things with my family and I know the history of Dia De Los Muertos with my own background.
• The way this connects to class is by the Aztecs keep things that has to do with their culture against the Spanish Conquistadors.
