Still in San Cristobal

Day 3 of San Cristobal saw us taking a trip out to Sumidero Canyon. Pretty, but I could have done with a restful morning hanging around town instead. We had to drive through thick cloud to get there and back. It was a little wierd as in San Cristobal the weather was fine, but not hot. On the other side, Sumidero Canyon, it was hot and humid. And in the middle was cold cloud forrest.

That afternoon we took a 5 hour bus ride to Palenque. It was a squishy bus, so I felt uncomfortable most of the way.

One of the girls on the trip had her daypack stollen on that trip as well. She had it at her feet, however, it must have slipped forward under the seat in front of her and got snatched up quietly by someone. Oh well. It was amazing that up to that point no-one had had anything stollen.
