Route to Merida
Et un Mexicain, UN!!! Hi all,
now i am still transitting in DF to Merida.
Yesterday I jogged on to the beach and went swimming before taking my plane at 1pm. Then I took the local "Ryanair" flight to Mexico. So: I landed 1.5 hours from the city, had to take a bus to town, but ofcource way out of public transport, so I had to walk and then take the Metro, all this with Backpack and at rush hour, The metros are reallllllyyyyy packed at rush hour people push themselves into the metro and the doors give the last push, ummmfff!
So by the time I got to the Hotel it was 7pm!
Yesterday, I must say I was a bit down, a bit lonely, fed up that everything is expensive here, it always seems to cost more than what i expect or is announced...
Anyway I wandered around; and on the Zocalo, the local "Grand Place" , every evening there are people learning and performing Ancient Aztec dances, I was welcomed to join in. It is actually more of a ritualistic dance, so I had to enter the dance through a virtual gate and I received some incence
around me with magic signs. Then, and I knew it, the dance was very complicated, but I jumped around anyway and tried to follow the movement, it was a good excercice and refigorating!
After I walked around with 3 young Mexican guys who thaught me a lot of bad/slang words...
AND yes I haven't taken many photos of Mexican people, so as there's a big demand for that I'll do my best now. For the moment I sent you a mexican video and a few pictures from the last few day....
