By popular demand... Friends and family have asked why I haven't sent a blog on my Mexican travels before Christmas and I really didn't have an answer ... partly it was the lose of my photos , which were later returned to me thank goodness , and partly the CHristmas season and all the activity that goes with that . I spent one morning out on the pier and it was great . I was able to read and write in my journal and shed the summer floodin , wasps ,building,nail wound...

Isla Mujeres

The wild side .Isla is only 4 blocks wide! Wild ocean on one side and sandy beach on the other side. Loved it!

Yucatan Chicken

Great little restaurant away from the pedestrian area. Good food.

Looking to the sandy side although as you can see the wind had come up.

61 !!!

The restaurant , Asian Caribean food , chose to honor me with a chocolate-Kalua Mousse with candle . Tasted good!

MANY pleasure craft as well as fishing boats

Grilled Tuna

The best meal of MANY GREAT meals that I had during this time . Fresh lobster , flounder ,shrimp ,salmon , Mayan and Yucatan pork and chicken . Wonderful food.

The isla of women pays homage to her as well.

My view in the morning to walk ( 1 mile) , stop to have coffee , read ,write , relax. I really do like the wild ocean side.

Ferry into Cancun

Another place I would never stay but one must head there to get to the airport ... and so I returned home. I good 2 weeks !!

You look great and it looks like you found a wonderful place to celebrate the end of the first year of this new decade in your life. Ilsa Mujeres is such a beautiful place. Too bad about its proximity to Cancun.
