At the beach life is different. Time doesn't move hour to hour but mood to movement. We live by the current, plan by the tides, and follow the sun ~ Domingo (Sunday) was a mischievous little devil this morning, waking me up early with slivers of sunlight poking through our bedroom curtains, reflecting off the walls & mirror & waving me to get up and out of bed. I could tell the sun was bright & it looked like it was (again) going to be a banner day.
I tell ya, the last few nights I've been sleeping like a baby that was just fed & burped 😊 I'm starting to wonder if Al's putting something in my drink!!! I think getting up early, walking miles a day, the sun and surf is just doing this gal's body and mind good.
Al & I were up and at 'em by 8 am to walk the ocean and take pics of the villas on the ocean. We've stayed in a private villa in 2010 and it was a phenomenal experience to say the least. 4 bedooms all each with their own master bath, along with a private pool, open
kitchen & living room, terrace, maid service and we hired a chef at a very inexpensive price. Xanadu is what they place really should be called; a magical paradise.
Along the way we took some pics of private homes we'd like to check into renting if we brought a crew with us. Anyone game to join us??? Or can you handle paradise? 😊 The first few pics below are of Casa Callaway where we stayed and would love to stay again. (Keith & Danielle joined us there and celebrated our wedding anniversary; they were staying at a resort nearby & made the trek to visit us...we were very honored! xo)
We walked down to this villa today & happy to report the beach is plentiful, not washed away like other parts of the beaches in the area.
There are also some pics of other villas along our morning walk with beach shots, flowers, trees etc.
We're going to enjoy a breakfast on the beach & I'll post what we got up to yesterday. A thunderstorm is brewing so we're on the beach under a restaurant shelter watching it! It's so funny how it works here. It
can be sunny and hot, and then it will start to thunderstorm while it's still sunny?! HUH? We saw mesmerizing zips of lightning flickering over the horizon but it's not really dark; there are bits of white cloud hanging around. The beach is busy and many people are enjoying the surf today. However, after a few loud claps of thunder and no rain, it moved off and now the white clouds have moved in and the sun has made its way back to us. Hard to say exactly what the day will bring but it sure doesn't stop anyone here from enjoying the great outdoors. You are never stuck indoors. The kids are in the pool, then will hit the ocean for a surf and then repeat.
Update us on how the weather is at home! Miss you all.
PS it's Mexican states elections today and out of Mexico's 31 states,15 are having elections today including the state we are in which is Quinatana Roo. That means no booze is being sold including on the beach, unless the establishment sells food in which case you can have a beer etc. We're well stocked in our condo, so feel
free to stop by for a drink on the balcony! I make a wicked margarita 😊
Salud

Villa hammock Photo is my idea of a dreamy holiday!
These photos belong in the 'Art and Design' Facebook page. You, Sally, are so talented to bring the beauty of your holidays right home. You have become quite good with your new Camera (from last year's B-day gift from Al, I presume). Enjoy the good times, my sweet friend. Love you all. xoxo Zully
