The only reward to getting up @ 2:30 in the *&@# bleeping morning is a tropical vacation...Rush to get everyone out the door, do a quick head count. Al, Sal, Mom, Lara, Rory...?? Run back in, carry Ava out. Do another head count again...Run back in, carry Martha out...😱 God that one was frigging strenuous. (Sorry Martha.) Hee Haw.
Poor Al, shame to wake him when he was just coming to bed! (My lad is a night owl. Or is it a night 'Al'?)
He kindly got us to the airport & gently peeled out to get home for a few more zzzzzzzzzzz's. No females in the house for 2 weeks...I'm sure I heard a loud "yahoo" somewhere???
So we're all settled in finally...(Rory had a thorough search due to unknowingly packing scissors in her carry-on, our little criminal at 9 years old!). Marth's decked out in her sunhat, sunglasses, sandals, & Jimmy Buffet's on repeat on her iPod & I detect sunblock in the air...It's all good except we haven't EVEN left the airport in Ottawa 😉 !
It's always a nice quick trip to Playa del Carmen; hop on a 737, leave @ 6:15 am arrive 10 am just as the lovely town comes alive.
