Cholula

Left our beautiful spot just outside Mexico city for a short journey to Cholula. A short drive, high price .tolls and not the best roads but we managed. !st toll Tuxpan cuota, took ticket off at San Martin 245 pesos, 2nd toll 79 pesos. Took a Taxi to the City of Pueblo and what a beautiful place it is. Founded in 1575 The lovely Cathedral took 200 years to build. It has 50 angels protecting it from the electrical storm that are very common in the rainy season. There are over 200 historical buildings in the downtown area. Fuerte de Loreto where the 1st battle was in 1862, the french battle with Dueglo and a church built on top of a pyramid. A must see for anyone passing through these parts.
