fishing and dolphins!

Up real early...6 am to put the coffee on, and make Nancy and I a fresh fruit smoothie before we met the girls to go fishing! Deep sea fishing, that is! After a stop for coffee, and some treats, we drove (11 people, plus the driver) to Playa Principal to catch our boat. 2 boats. Nancy and I were on the boat with Meg, Hattie, Jeannie and Mary! Martin, our driver, and guide, lured up the lines, and put them out, all of us anticipating the first catch! Not too long out of the bay, Jeannie caught a bonita!!!!! We were very excited!!!!

Along the coast, waiting for the nibbles, we saw a sword fish, turtles, and dolphins! Watching the dolphins...we noticed, the dolphins right next to our boat. We slowed down, pumped the music (the dolphins like the vibrations of the music under water), and they kept coming by...jumping, gliding by us. We asked Martin, if we could jump into the water and join them. After bringing in all 6 of the lures, we jumped in...even though the dolphins didn't swim right next to us, they circled us! An incredible experience! We didn't want to leave! The other boat, came and joined us and swam! It was time to go back in!

Martin dropped us off at our beach. The 2 fish were taken to the beach and cooked for our lunch! Yummmm!!! And to think the day isn't over yet!

After lunch, Nancy and I came back to have a siesta on our hammocks! Heaven, with the waves crashing below us, drummers drumming, the breeze blowing over us....

I wonder what the night will bring us...I do think it is the girls night out! Now, to get my camera to work!!!
