Alright everybody this is going to be my first real blog where i'll tell everything. Until now i kinda just said a few things hear and there. So, now is the full tour so far. Monterrey, Mexico, the climate: Monterrey's climate is almost perfect. During the day the temperature had gotten into the mid to high eighties with just a little bit of cloud cover. This type of weather is phenomenal, However the students on campus still wear jackets and what not. But, there's the downside of this almost perfect weather. The yesterday the high was 64°F and the low got down to 46°F. I realize that for those of you back home you still don't sympathize with me because i believe you still have snow, according to weather.com you guys had a High of 45°F ... read more

Alright so it's offically been a day over a week in Mexico, and I'm sorry for no pictures or videos yet, i'm still working on it. So an overview of what's been going on and what not. Day one: I arrive in Monterrey from my flights having met about 5 people in my program, who all seemed and are very nice and awesome. We were driven to Tec (Tecnológico de Monterrey) and got our welcome packets which came in some very cool mexican blanket bags. We then signed in and they called our host families. It took a while for my host dad to pick me up because he came about right when i got there and they told him that i had not arrived yet. 8) Can you believe it how do you miss me, ... read more

Arrival in Mexico, Monterrey. 7th July-11th July We packed up our camp in San Antonio and had breakfast at the Chuckwagon. Appropiately as we were off to Mexico we had tacos. We were both feeling a bit nervous as we boarded the bus that would take us over the border and into Mexico. Neither of us could speak much Spanish and we didn't really know what to expect of Mexico. This was really going to test us out as travellers. As we arrived in the border town of Loredo it was raining hard and as we exited the bus to report to customs, Richard slipped on the wet bus steps and landed on his bum on the road beneath. Hola Mexico! The customs officials took our money, filled in a form and gave us our visas. ... read more

Hello everyone!!! Very sorry that we haven't updated in such a long time; we either haven't had access to a computer, or it's been ridiculously expensive to go on the internet. Anyway, where we last left off, we were both rather unwell and on our last week of teaching in Cuzco. That was nearly a month ago, so we'll blast our way through the last few weeks in this update. Leaving the schools was pretty emotional as we had both grown very attached to the kids. We went to Elim (the boys school) in the morning and played some games with the boys, who then presented us with friendship bracelets they had made to thank us for our work. In the afternoon, Alex went to Seeds Of Hope (Charlie stayed in to rest) where they went ... read more
