In the morning we went for a nice walk along residential streets of La Foresta . The streets are lovely but it’s not possible to see very much of the actual houses. The high Mexican walls keep each house very private and secure.

We came out to the main street, Carretera just before Walmart so of course we wandered up and down the aisles in Walmart and checked things out. I think we will be able to purchase just about everything here that we would buy back home in Canada.

On our stroll back to Ajijic, we found and stopped at a nice little cafe where we had a cappuccino and watched the girl make old fashioned homemade ice cream.

We arrived in the Plaza just in time for a light lunch. Light, because we are still being served huge meals at breakfast.

At about 4:30PM the procession of the Lady of the Rosary began and we were in a prime location to enjoy it.

We returned to our room later and had a siesta until it was almost time for the fireworks. We returned to the Plaza and joined the crowds. Everyone waited in anticipation. The firework display was well worth the wait.
