August 1st 2 weeks from tomorrow....Fly into Mexico City, staying
here for 4 days, we have organised that the hotel will send a taxi to collect us so hopefully they will turn up!! (This unfortunately won't be the norm 5 star all the way I wish, this is just for 4 days so we can party in style then its budget and hostels all the way, sightseeing in the Zocala and Alameda Central and move to the other side of the city Zono Roza region for the night life and clubs, catch a bus to the pacifics coast to Acapulco (6hrs) for a week sunbathing and then another bus to the carribean coast to Cancun 18 hrs I think or maybe thats from
Mexico city, not too sure,
We have 2 choices
Travel down the Pacific coast from Acapulo into Central America OR travel over to the Carribean coast to Cancun and down to Chetumal into Belieze to Central America...... altho I can see myself and Karen still in Mexico 6 months later with a hangover!
Central America - Belize to guatemala,El Salvador, Honduras, Nicaragua, Costa Rica, Panama and Bogota Colombia- we will see how many countries we get to see, no point it trying to see every country then take a flight from either Panama or Colombia to Cousco or Lima Peru for the 4 day inca trek to Machu Picchu on the 9th October, hopefully from there to Boliva to see the Uyuni salt plains which are supposed to be amazing and onto Brazil to Rio where we are supposed to be meeting Damo (the demolition man!!) for a week of partying,
Paraguay and Uraguay for the Igazu Falls which I have heard are mind blowing and on to Argentina for Xmas and Chile, fly from Chile 28th December to NZ.
It will be good to look back on the "Plans" and to see what we have actually
done or where people and places have brought us....
