Bleh.. Not feeling all that great right now... not sure what it is but I'm feeling nauseated. 😞 Hope I'd get better after sleeping, and hope I don't get to that unpleasant point if I don't get better overnight.
This morning the group of us (minus 2 who had things to tend to) headed to the museum straight (agreed on it the other day) instead of meeting at the cross (which in a way is counter-productive because then we have to go south west and then head back north again). That however, caused one of the volunteers to be late because she thought we were meeting at the cross again. Our bad.
Started off with watching a worker (probably a volunteer, but either way this is the first time I've seen him here and I never asked) and one of my classmates move dirt (mixed with donkey dung. yum.) to the greenhouse. I probably could have left this detail out if not for the fact that as they were moving the dirt, they discovered a very squirmy creature. Worm or snake? It sure looked like a worm but wiggled fiercely like a snake. It was a snake,

Look closely for the snake ;o about the size of a garter snake.
After they moved the dirt into the greenhouse and started to weed it (the dirt), I started (along with a couple others) removing some sort of white stone/rocks from the ground in front of the greenhouse. Not sure what the purpose was of doing so... but either way, I was being fried by the sun. I completely forgot to bring a hat and this day was particularly hot and very sunny (not a cloud in the sky). Lovely. Then, at some point, I went inside to try to help move the dirt into rows (and of course into rows around the edge of the greenhouse) but that didn't go over so well. Such an easy task but for some reason I couldn't get myself coordinated enough to do a good job so I bowed out of the task. I'm pretty sure I was just shifting the dirt back and forth without making any progress...
At some point, a family paid the place a visit (mom, dad, and their son
) and shortly after arriving, the family along with a few workers (one being my 014
Making adobe brick mix housemate) went off on a truck to a slaughterhouse to get cow manure.
The rest of us started to make more adobe bricks, one chopping dirt off the side of the walls (big hole that the adobe mix is made in), one dancing in the ensuing mud (after the water is added), while I pulled dry straw/grass out of the ground to throw into the mix. I just wanted to get one last bit of dry straw when not only did I fail to pull it out, but got nicely sliced in one of my fingers by a thorn (-wince- just remembering it made me feel it all over again). Ouch. No bandaid on me or anyone around, and I didn't want to go into the main building just to ask for one, so I substituted with a bit of toilet paper (Ironically in the main building. My issue was I didn't know where was the 'main office' and it certainly wasn't outstandish).
During break, I rescued a moth that was treading water (now this was a bit unusual for me because I have a silly fear of moths) which coincidentally, was Canadian. It was a rather large

my Canadian friend. sadly with a camera like mine the focus was on the wrong thing.. lol fellow... or lass. I wouldn't know a male from a female...
Later this afternoon, I decided randomly to go for a walk on the main street that our old hotel is situated on. Bad idea. It started off well enough but then I started feeling sicker, and sicker, until I figured I better head back home before anything happened. During this random walk I bumped into some aquaintances ( a couple that has a large role in an organization that does a lot of work in Mexico, and a few of my classmates).
Sick as I was feeling, I still ate dinner. Hope I didn't just make things worse for myself...
