Small towns all over the Baja, but some are just gems in the dessert as quoted by Mr Wong known as El Chino the builder and founder of the original Hotel California built in 1947, made famous by the Eagles in the mid 1970,s. Being so close to Los Cabos the main town has become a tourist trap with numerous stores and multiple restaurants. The cultural center and the Mision de Nuestra Senora del Pilar Church are the out standing historical pieces. The rest is the beach, some with protected swimming areas, others with Surf and some so wicked the under toe would take you to China. Today we travelled Just the Town. From All walks , The Mexican homes, the shops, the Canadian homes, the American homes, many abandoned or not finished homes. In any place the Beach is beautiful, the people are hospitable, the cows and donkeys run loose and amazing to see that money does not go far here, is really not needed. Friendship DOES ! A great trips from La Paz through the hills one more time, ( Out Turbo) does not like the dirty Mexican fuel and the climbing, injector pump says maybe I will just take a break, but Neil says NOWAY Baby I will change your seals! Puente El Trunfo a small town with the magical touch of museums. High above passing through the over look of San Antonio Mexico. On the beach at Los Barrilos so beautiful will stay for a few days. Today went to Bajoda de la mesa, Santa Cruez, Punta Colorado and La Trinidad. Today Sunday January 31st, took a road trip to Los Cabos, crossed the line Tropic de cancer, and visited a lot of small towns. Left Cuidad heading South Highway 1thru Santa Rita and into LaPaz. Heading North hwy 11 to Tecolte Beach stayed on the Beach full of Canadian snow birds. Beautiful it was. Monday took a side trip to Enesanda passing thru Los muertos, south east of LaPaz. Today heading to the big city for a few days.... read more

Left Santa Rosalia south on hwy 1, passing through Merrera de Bahia a small town back to the ocean side, where suddenly we are now in the tropics. A beautiful warm blue ocean. All was perfect until on the beach our dual driver side wheels dropped into a 6 foot hole (An old septic tank) Thank goodness lots of Canadians, there was not even phone service.... read more

January 20 2016 heading south to the coastline again crossing over the mountails Deiserero de vizccaine and the sierra de saza lucia. The city Santa Rosalia is a prosperous town from the copper mine built by the Canadians in the 1950,s. Now owned and operated by the Mexican government has work for 1000,s making a happy place on Earth.... read more

Said good bye to our dear friend whom had to return to the coast , then headed off hwy 1 south to hwy 12 into Bahia de Los Angeles. The mountainous hills that turned into almost dessert , winding through the hills with washed out sections of road and no shoulder. A beautiful day of travel to then find a beach campsite Daggarts right at the sanctuary of the sea wolves.... read more
