After returning from Singapore, we were pleased to welcome Jack, Linda's brother. He arrived for a good part of his holiday to visit with us and see how we live in Taiwan. Twisting Highways

We had a lot of fun scootering on the twisting highway, Linda riding on the back got to enjoy more of the scenery.

Marathon

Lena finished the 29K marathon about 20 minutes after Pon, who completed the circuit in 4 hours, 3 minutes. We were there to cheer them on at the finish line.

The girls had to be at the start line at 6AM, and we were there to see them finish at 10AM.

Sun Moon Lake

It really is a beautiful place, but this is the middle of winter. We needed light jackets in order to be comfortable.

Winter Flowers

The girls are trying to make a heart with their arms, can't you tell?

Dragon Fruit

We enjoy dragon fruit, but this was the first time we have ever seen the plant that produces them.

Sunday Afternoon Trip Home

Group photo just before we board the local train to the main line. There, we had only a 10 minute wait to connect to the mainline train into Kaohsiung.
