After returning from Singapore, we were pleased to welcome Jack, Linda's brother. He arrived for a good part of his holiday to visit with us and see how we live in Taiwan. Home for Christmas

Cooking the turkey for our Christmas meal in Livelong, Sask. We gathered at Marc's large new home in Livelong!

We once again booked 6 rooms at the Tropical Inn in North Battleford, and really enjoyed ourselves. We had all 7 of Maurice's grandchildren there

Jerald and Lorna hosted their Christmas meal on the 29th. It was lovely to see Grandma and Grandpa digging in.

Briar, our New Year's Baby

Briar is now 2 years old, and she goes hard on Bennett's heels. If he's not quick on the ball, she will get there first.

Weekend at SunMoon Lake

Pon and Lena were running a marathon, so Maurice and Linda, Lulu and Zach joined them for a weekend at beautiful SunMoon Lake. Lena, Lulu and Linda sat together on the train.

Earthquake Damaged Temple

We stayed at an inn in the tourist town of Jiji, close to SunMoon Lake. This temple has become a tourist attraction.

SunFlowers in January

Standing among the sunflowers, we made a pretty picture. The teachers gathered a few seeds to take back for their grade 4 students to plant.

Scooters

We rented 3 scooters for the weekend for the 6 of us. Jiji is about 10K from the lake.

Old Historical Rail Site

We visited the rail museum close to the station. Many local tourists come here.

After Supper Ride Home

It was a cold evening up in the hills. We are not used to these cooler temperatures and we had a 20K ride back to our hotel. Take note of the gloves.

Our Hello Kitty room was clean, large and decorated with red and white. Hello Kitty is huge in Taiwan. We celebrated Linda's birthday.
