The folks of Prince Edward Island are extremely friendly. While biking, I stopped to read a plaque, and a woman came up and asked if she could help. Well we got to talking and I heard a lot about the island and her life.
The sun was out early as we left to travel to the North Cape. This is the tip of the north/west point of the island; this wind farm generates 5% of the electricity for Prince Edward Island. The interpretative center had lots of information on one of the “windy-est” area on Prince Edward Island.
We drove the scenic drive to Tignish, the start of the famous Confederation Bike Trail. We bike out for about 6 miles and then returned, the weather is warm and sunny.
Mill River Provincial Park is our choice for the evening, since the Jacque Cartier Prov. Park was closed, still too early in the season. The man at the fishery suggested we get 5 lb of mussels for two people. They are fresh and delicious but way too much. We will be having mussels for many days.
