My First Trip To Toronto

The new year had just begun, and morgan and i sat together in her apartment considering the past year. i asked morgan what her favorite voyage was in 2006. she thought for a moment and replied with disbelief that she hadnt left the state of ohio in the entire year of 2006. i had been to australia for a couple of weeks and oregon for a week and alaska for more than a week and new york city for several days. Being confined to ohio for an entire calendar year, we decided, was absolutely unacceptable. with a few last minute arrangements, we were on the road to toronto by that afternoon. we were fasting that day so we made good time since we didnt need to stop for food or bathroom. we drove past niagara falls without stopping and arrived at Kevin and Michelle's home in Smithville around 11pm. we were greeted with much warmth and excitement. after some catching up and a cup of tea after midnight(fast) we went to bed. The four of us drove into toronto the next day. we walked around town with a bag of carrots and some dried apple chips. we walked around the university and stopped at a couple markets. we sat down and ate at a sushi restaurant. Later that evening i finished knitting a hat for morgan while michelle played guitar and sang. we slept well that night. we left the next day. we said goodbye and headed back toward the us. we stopped at niagara falls at sunset and looked on at a distance but were repulsed by the gaudy, multicolored light show that perverted the natural beauty .
