An early start to the day, at 6:30 I returned to the casino for my third day of demonstration money (photo 1). That makes $30 total. If only I could stay another day to make it $50! I've discovered this is the only way to make money at a casino...

After dropping off the last of our hazardous waste, we drove to see the treed rocky landscape with occassional swamp become gradually more open with more marshlands than rocky outcrops. 799km laster we arrived at Sault Sainte Marie. It's titchy bit quiet of a Sunday evening on the main street, but the old post office makes for a nice architectural point of interest (photo 2).

A stroll after dinner brought me to the bosphorus of North America: A fountain on the Canadian side and a US freighter passing in front of their prison (photo 3). As lake freighters go, this one is bigger than most, with a crew and good captain well-seasoned. I heard the ship's bell ringing - could that be the north wind?
